We are looking to fill the following position, which is subject to project funding approval:

Associate Communication and Administration (gn) at the Jacques Delors Centre

full-time (40hrs/week),

Start: from March 2024
The successful candidate will work at the Hertie School's Jacques Delors Centre and support the Centre’s work in the Franco-German Dialogue Series, a project kindly funded by the German Federal Foreign Office. The position will initially run until 31 December 2024.


Your tasks:

  • Support in the organisation of the Pariser Platz Dialogue, e.g. guest relations, coordination of event matters, administrative tasks etc.
  • Support the PR and Communications section of the Jacques Delors Centre
  • Organisation of various types of events
  • Maintenance of the Centre websites (Typo3 and WordPress)
  • Content creation for Social Media channels and websites
  • Layouting of publications (Indesign)
  • Budget moniroting and reporting for the project
  • Internal administrative tasks, e.g., timesheet management, support third-party funding processes, obtain offers from external service providers

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as communication, business administration or political science
  • Confident use of MS Office applications especially Excel
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken German and English, at least one of the two languages on native level, French is an asset
  • Very good organisational skills
  • Structured, pro-active working style and excellent communication skills
  • Precise working methods, commitment and reliability
